Beer review: Nøgne Ø #100

Nøgne Ø #100Looks

Lovely dark amber color with beige head.

I’m getting fresh hops, some smoke, yeast and alcohol from the nose.

There is some soap-like hints in the start of the flavor, and some roasted malts. The hops does not take up as much space in the flavor as in the aroma but they are present nonetheless. Some malty sweetness and pine-like notes in the aroma as well. The carbonation level is very pleasant.

There is some bitterness in the aftertaste and it lingers a while in the mouth.

A very complex beer that I would absolutely recommend. Score: 4.2/5

Batch #538
