Beer review: Midtfyns Bryghus Barley Wine

Midtfyns Bryghus Barley WineLooks

Rusty red/brown color with frothy off-white head.

Quite sweet on the nose with caramel, malts and some alcohol.

The flavor is also very sweet on this with lots of malty sweetness and caramel. I’m not getting any alcohol in the flavor. There is not much bitterness in the flavor (as expected from a barley wine). The beer feels a bit thin.

Quite long finish with much sweetness. Quite fruity as well.

Not one of my favorite barley wines, but a good one nonetheless. Rating: 3.5/5.
