Time for another review! This time it’s an IPA by Cigar City Brewing from Tampa, Florida, USA.
Mildly hazy golden orange color with off-white head that laces nicely on the glass.
Looks very good!
The citrus is strong in this one!
Immensely hoppy aroma with citrus, fresh cut grass, caramel sweetness and a tad hint of pine.
The aroma is absolutely gorgeous.
Very much like the aroma. Loads of citrus and overall very fruity! Some small metallic hints as well, but nothing that ruins the experience.
There is also caramel sweetness from the malt present in the flavor. This beer has an ABV of 7.5% so it’s almost borderline DIPA. This does not make it any harder to drink though. No hint of the alcohol in the flavor at all.
The mouth feel is also very smooth on this beer.
Pretty long and bitter finish with some citrus and apricot notes. Stunning!
Being a pretty bold IPA this beer needs some spicy dishes to keep up with the bold flavors from the beer.
It’s also very refreshing by itself.
One of the better IPA’s I have had in a long time. Incredibly balanced and all-over enjoyable. Score: 5/5.
