Beer review: Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein Grünes

Schneider Weisse Tap 4 Mein GrünesLooks

Slightly hazy light orange color with white head.

Typical Hefe-Weisse aroma, with hints of yeast, oranges and some banana. The aroma is perhaps slightly more fruity compared to other weiss beers.

Strong orange flavor with some yeasty hints as well. The banana hints are present in the flavor as well.

The beer feels very balanced with the lovely malty backbone and the citrus and banana flavors from the hops and the yeast.

Enjoyable finish with some yeasty flavors lingering around for a short while.

Food matches

Today I had this beer with some sausages with mustard and fried onions, which worked out better than expected. The beer is not too strong with regards to flavor, so powerful food might render this beer quite tasteless.

This beer would also make a great match for different types of salads.

One of the best Hefe-Weissen beers I have had. Score: 4.4/5.

This beer is available at Vinmonopolet in Norway and Systembolaget in Sweden.
