Beer review: Mikkeller Green Gold

Mikkeller Green GoldLooks

Lovely hazy deep orange color with a frothy off-white head.

I’m getting some spicy notes at first followed by some lovely hints of grapefruit, pineapple and some caramel sweetness. Smells really delicions!

The flavor is pretty much spot on compared to the aroma. Lots of grapefruit and some spicy notes. Well balanced with some slight sweetness from the malts. Feels very crispy!

The mouth feel is very pleasant which makes this beer a real treat!

Long finish with mostly grapefruit and some small hints of pine.

Definitely one of the better IPA’s I have had in a long time! Score: 4.8/5.

This beer is available at Vinmonopolet, and this particular bottle was bought at Vika Vinmonopol in Oslo.
