Instead of focusing on what I did with the BeerNorway blog in 2012, I thought I’d tell you what I want to do in 2013.
More articles, less reviews
This year I will focus more on in depth articles about different beer styles, beer festivals and other happenings, instead of the regular beer reviews I have filled this blog with. Right now I’m working on a series on Trappist beers available in Norway. I will probably do similar series on other beer styles as well, where I will use beers available in Norway, and of course as many Norwegian beers as possible.
To be honest I’m getting tired of writing the regular beer reviews that I have been doing for most of 2012. Lately I have been putting beers back in the fridge simply because I won’t bother fetching the camera and starting up the computer. Enjoying a good beer or two shouldn’t feel like that.
I will continue with some types of reviews (for instance the BrewDog Abstrakt reviews I have been doing, where I try the same beer once a year), and I will do my best to review new Norwegian beers (and some that I have yet to try).
Instead of writing the regular beer reviews on the blog I thought I might try to do some video reviews instead. Since this is more time consuming than writing regular reviews I will have to be more picky when choosing the beers to review, so that this won’t end up feeling just as tiresome as writing reviews.
I will also try to pull off some video interviews with different personalities in the beer world as well whenever I get the chance. We’ll see how much time I get to play with such content.
Food and beer
Since I love food just about as much as beer, and sometime play with food and beer in combination, I will do my best to share this with my readers. Whenever I do in depth articles about different beer styles I will try to include different dishes that works well with the beers I’m writing about as well.
And that’s that. If anyone of you guys want some other types of content, feel free to leave a comment and I’ll see what I can do. Cheers!
